KiloWattRC 800watt battery discharger bank
After 2 years of being in development., the 800 watt discharger built in house by KiloWattRC is finally available to the public by PREORDER [ALLOW 14DAYS TO BE BUILT AND SHIPPED OUT, CUSTOM BUILDS CAN DELAY BUILD PROCESS. Lipo charger muse be compatible for external discharging. The benefits of having the KiloWattRC discharger connected to your compatible charger are, breaking in brand new battery cells without even leaving the bench. Another benefit is we run out of time and dont have time to let our battery charger discharge out batteries at 5 amps to get voltages to storage voltage, it can take hours; this KiloWattRC discharger will cut time down as low at 7 minutes depending on how much capacity and total voltage u need to discharge. Another benefit os preparing batteries for high peformance, discharging at a high rate and charging at a high rate a few time drastically heats up the battery cells, which lowers individual cell resistance which brings up the cell discharge rate. Another benefit is when having cells sit at storage voltage longer then 3 months, requires cell to get their exercise, so they are ready for rear discharging out on the field. A few discharge and charge cycles at a high rate wake the cells up and make them fit for the peformance occasions. You just can't go wrong having the benefit to discharge cells at a high rate. There are risks, it is absolutely not recommended to directly connect battery to discharger bank. You must use a charger and set your desired current load, voltage stop points. You must also not leave un attended while in use. Keep out of the reach of children and pets due to copper material and short circuit mishaps. Its is critical to know the limits of your charger as far as external discharging. The discharger is rated for 800 watts it is critical the charger is not demanding more the 750 watts discharge power, current selection and voltage of battery variy the wattage consumption. Also monitoring charger temperature is critical as well, if charger is hitting 220F temps its is recommended to lower current discharge to lower charger temps. Make sure the discharger cooling fans are operating and dont have and broken blades. Keep it mind the cooling fans are 24 volts and can take up to 28 to 30 volts before cooling fan burns out. Its best to keep output voltage to discharger bank limited to 28volts. If you need to discharge higher then 28 volts it recommended to get the voltage regulator option to protect the cooling fan longevity. While discharger is in use, please keep away from item's that can melt or burn, make sure areas is free from small debris or dust as the cooling fans will blow particles that can results in eye injury, lung suffocation, or injury to skin. After PREORDER is placed KiloWattRC will contact you via phone or email provided to verify build. Parts are replaceable if defective or damaged just contact KiloWattRC via website, email or Facebook business page.
